TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the NextCheck application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the App.
Purpose of the Application
NextCheck is a personal finance and budgeting utility designed to help users track their local ledger, calculate a "Safe to Spend" daily allowance, and manage upcoming recurring expenses.
No Financial Advice
The information, calculations, and projections provided by NextCheck are for informational and organizational purposes only. NextCheck is not a financial advisor, planner, or institution. The App’s calculations (such as the DailyCheck allowance, Smart Budgets, and the Pulse Tracker) do not constitute professional financial advice. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions and should consult a licensed financial professional for specific advice.
User Responsibilities and Accuracy
Because NextCheck operates primarily offline, the accuracy of the financial data, budgets, and projections relies entirely on the manual input provided by the user. NextCheck is not responsible for overdraft fees, missed payments, or financial discrepancies resulting from inaccurate data entry or app calculations.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NextCheck and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to financial loss, data loss, or system failure, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
Modifications to the App
We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any feature of NextCheck at any time without prior notice.
DATA PRIVACY POLICY
Privacy-First Promise
NextCheck is built on a strict privacy-first architecture. We believe your financial data is highly sensitive and belongs exclusively to you.
Data Collection, Storage, and BackupsLocal Storage First: All financial data, transaction histories, budgets, and settings you enter into NextCheck are stored natively on your device using a local SQLite database.
Native OS Cloud Backups: To prevent catastrophic data loss when you upgrade, replace, or lose your device, NextCheck utilizes your device's native operating system backup features (such as Android Auto-Backup via Google Drive). Your local database file is automatically uploaded and encrypted at rest within a hidden, app-specific folder in your personal cloud account. NextCheck developers do not operate external cloud servers and have zero access to this backed-up data.
Update Checking: While your financial data remains completely offline, the App occasionally makes a solitary, anonymous network ping to a static JSON file strictly to check if a new version of NextCheck is available. This request transmits absolutely no personal data, analytics, or device identifiers.
No Tracking or Analytics: We do not use third-party tracking software, behavioral analytics, or telemetry that monitors your financial habits.
Diagnostic Logs: The App features a local diagnostic "Flight Recorder" (Developer Console) designed to track software bugs. These logs are saved locally to your device storage and are never transmitted to us automatically.
Data Sharing and Third Parties
Because we do not collect or host your data on proprietary servers, we cannot and do not sell, rent, or share your personal or financial information with third parties, advertisers, or financial institutions.
Data Portability and CSV Export
NextCheck provides a feature allowing users to export their personal ledger data as a Comma-Separated Values (CSV) file. The generation of this file occurs entirely offline and locally on your device. When utilizing the export feature, the app utilizes your device's native Operating System (OS) Share Sheet to allow you to save or transmit the file using an application of your choosing. NextCheck does not collect, read, transmit, intercept, or store this exported data on any remote servers. The routing and destination of the exported file are strictly under your control.
User Control and Deletion
You maintain complete control over your data. You can delete individual transactions, clear your budgets, or entirely wipe the database from within the App settings. Uninstalling the NextCheck application from your device will permanently delete all associated financial data stored locally. Note: To permanently remove your data from the cloud, you must also clear the NextCheck app data from your Google Drive or native OS cloud backup settings.
Security and Disclaimers
While we implement robust software practices—including OS-level screen capture blocking, immediate background UI masking, and a Biometric Security Vault featuring an intentional 2-minute background grace period—to protect your data locally, the security of your information ultimately depends on the security of your physical device and your personal cloud accounts.
We strongly recommend using device-level security features such as PINs and biometric locks (FaceID/Fingerprint).
Account Security Disclaimer: Because your data relies on native OS backups for device transitions, you are solely responsible for securing the credentials of your Google Account or related cloud services. NextCheck cannot recover your data if you lose access to your cloud account, nor are we liable if your cloud account is compromised.
COPYRIGHT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Ownership
All content, features, and functionality within the NextCheck application—including but not limited to the underlying codebase, smart algorithms (such as the Smart Detective engine and Rollover math), UI/UX design, visual aesthetics, graphics, and logos—are the exclusive property of Hyperfocus Studios and its developers and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
License to Use
NextCheck grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and use the App strictly for your personal, non-commercial use on a mobile device that you own or control.
Restrictions
You may not:
Reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or publicly perform any part of the App without prior written consent.
Reverse engineer, decompile, decode, or disassemble the App's source code or proprietary algorithms.
Use the NextCheck logo, brand name, or custom visual assets for commercial purposes without explicit authorization.
